Locality:
Puu O Kali, above Kihea, DHHL land, Sakagawa Ranch, 1150 ft. and 1400 ft. elev. To west side of Puu O Kali cone.
Plant Description:
About 5-10 trees about middle of cone area and at base about 10 plants, 3-8 ft. ht.
Habitat:
Base of cone on lava flow; native veg. mostly on a'a lava flows.
Associated Species:
Erythrina sandwicensis, Nesoluma polynesicum, Sida fallax, Chenopodium oahuense, Achyranthes splendens var. splendens, Diospyros sandwicensis, Nototrichium sandwicense, Rauvolfia sandwicensis, Chamaesyce, Myoporum, Capparis, Acacia koaia, Prosopis pallida and Cenchrus ciliaris dominate in areas off lava flows.
