Locality:
In cultivation at NTBG Lawai Valley, Native Hawaiian Section #7, NTBG Acc #910523.030. This plant was grown from wild origin seed KRW #322-324, SPP #10999 from Puu O Kali, lava flow between Kekuawahaulaula & Puu O Kali, Maui, Hawaii. Ele 60 ft/ 18 m. Speading woody shrub ca. 1.8 m ht. with light green leaves above, pale whitish green beneath. Flowers and fr present.
Plant Description:
Flwrs pendent, pale green sepals, pale yellow petals, staminal column yellow with yellow-orange pollen. No fragrance at 11:00 am. Sd capsules brownish. The wild source parent's flowers were red.
