Just above high tide line with Cocos and Guettarda. Hiroshi Point south of Malem on road to Utwe.
Plant Description:
Trees of up to 35 ft. with massive trunks; leaves dark +- glossy green above with yellowish-green midvein (reddish at base of petiole), below dull pale green; calyx pale green; petals white, stamens numerous, white with pink apex, fragrant (5:30 pm). FEMA collection. NTBG acc. # 960864.
Habitat:
Coastal Barringtonia forest.
