Seedling in transect, localized. Specimen treated with 70% isopropanol.

Habitat:
Coastal forest on coral rubble, advanced secondary forest.
Associated Species:
Primary components, canopy Dysoxylum samoense, mid-stratum Ficus scabra, Diospyros samoensis, Pisonia grandis, Barringtonia asiatica, Meryta macrophylla, ground cover of Asplenium nidus and Piper groeffii.
