Na Pali-Kona Forest Reserve, S rim and upper slopes of Kalalau Valley, midway between Kalalau and Puu o Kila lookouts; of. alt. 1200-1100 m.
Plant Description:
Small tree 3.5 m tall, corolla waxy, bright yellow, fruits green. Occasional locally.
Habitat:
Mixed mesophytic forest on steep, rocky slopes with open areas covered by ferns.
Associated Species:
Metrosideros, Syzygium, Ilex, Nestegis, etc
