Plant Description:
5 m tall tree; fruit purple; vigorous.
Habitat:
Metrosideros lowland wet forest.
Associated Species:
Dubautia, Melicope spp., Hesperomannia, Cyanea, Pritchardia, Syzygium, Antidesma, Cheirodendron, Hedyotis, Broussaisia, Labordia tinifolia & L. lydgatei, Eurya, Platydesma rostrata, Scaevola mollis, Cyrtandra spp., sedges, grasses & bryophytes are common with epiphytes growing in the shrub layer.
