Plant Description:
Small, solitary tree approx. 3 m. ht., with costapalmate, induplicate, unarmed leaves. Pinnae ca 72 per leaf; upper surface of leaf blades glabrous; upper leaf surface glabrous, lower surface with scales near petiole; leaf tips hang. Inflorescence unit with 1 to 3 infl extending beyond leaves, hanging; mature fruit dark purplish black, imm fr green, ave size 2-2.5 cm diam.
