Collected next to a house in the village of Enipein Powe.
Plant Description:
Tree, about 6 ft (1.8m) tall, sapling. Leaves alternate, light green upper and lower, wavy edges and thin waxy coating. Petiole reddish, no disting smell. N. V. "Sadak [Pohnpeian]."
Ethnobotanical Notes:
Trunk. Construction Material. Have to find a tree trunk that is not really big but good enough to use for post of house. Cut or chop the tree down, peel off the skin of the bark, let it dry for days and use it.
Whole tree. Canoes. Trunk or the whole tree is used to make canoe. People cut down the big tree, cut every branch off. After many days they start to carve the trunk or tree body into canoe. This could be done for months.

Agroforest area.
Associated Species:
Dominant plants include Hibiscus tiliaceus, ylangylang and durian.
