Tree about 30 ft (9.1 m) tall, leaf upper and below is green, petiole brown with brown stem or bark, white flower, and green fruit turning white. N. V. weipwul [Pohnpeian]
Ethnobotanical Notes:
Fruits. For pain. Gather four fruits, pound, put into a piece of cloth, squeeze in a cup of water and drink. One cup a day until feelling better. Leaves. For headaches. Gather the old leaves that have turned yellow, doesn't matter how many, pound, put into a bucket of water. Use as a shower or bath, by pouring over the head. Apply for 4 days or util it is better. Root. For cuts. Pull up one root, clean, scrub and squeeze juice on the cut, then put it on the cut. Apply twice a day until healed. Root. For Diabetes. Pull one root up, clean, cut into 4 pieces, put into a kettle of water and let it boil for 5 minutes. Drink one cup a day for 8 days.
