Plant Description:
on north facing walls above stream, 2 plants, one vegetative, one in early flower, previous colony of K. laxiflora across stream has not been relocated during this survey and presumed extirpated
Habitat:
Metrosideros-Cheirodendron wet forest, 8-12 m tall canopy, riparian w/ saturated talus & seeping, vertical basalt walls, steep Dicranopteris banks.
Associated Species:
Understory w/ Touchardia, Broussaisia, Coprosma pubescens, Boehmeria, Pipturus, Diplazium, Cyrtandra spp., Kadua spp., Cyanea scabra, Gunnera.
