Locality:
Pou Maka, W base of peak on ridge heading toward Hakahetau.
Plant Description:
Canopy tree 14 m tall x 40 cm dbh, bark rough gray. Leaves shiny dk green above, paler below. Fruiting calyx & ovary green. Localize population of 3 trees.
Habitat:
Open wet ridge forest and adjacent cliffs.
Associated Species:
Metrosideros collina, Crossostylis biflora, Cyathea affinis, Weinmannia, Hibiscus tiliaceus, understory of Freycinetia and pteridophytes.
