Locality:
Along old Atuona-Hanamenu trail, on lower slopes of Mt. Feani and Mt. Timetiu massif above Atuona. Elevation 550-750 m.
Plant Description:
Slender tree 6 m. corolla with gardenia-like fragrance, tube pale yellow, lobes white. Fruit green, fleshy, pulp orange, seeds orange-brown.
Habitat:
Steep, rocky slopes with mid-altitude humid forest.
Associated Species:
Of Weinmannia,Fagraea, Crossostylis, Hibiscus tiliaceus, Pandanus, and Angiopteris understory, invaded by Syzygium cumini, Mangifera indica, and Coffea arabica.
