Poipu. National Tropical Botanical Garden, Visitor's Center garden. Just east of entrance between lowest parking area and watergardens. Cultivated plants.
Plant Description:
Shrub of 10 ft.; leaves leathery, dark glossy green above, midrib pale green, below dull pale green with yellow-green midrib; inflorescence pale green, corolla in bud slightly darker; open flowers: corolla tube base whitish-cream, upper tube & lobes cream fading dark brownish cream, very fragrant; fruit ripening deep glossy orange.
