Locality:
Wailua; Wailua Homesteads, Kipapa Road, on SW side of road next to a small pond on empty but manicured lot. With Impatiens planted at base, few other smaller Muntingia trees on property boarder, possibly naturalizing. Collected as part of KISC 2007 Early Detection Roadside Survey. KISC #20070529A018. Plant Description:
Tree about 20 ft. tall. Fruit red. Flowers white. Filament green, anther yellow. Leaves dark green above and dull green below. Leave lax. Bark white w/ deep brown fissures.
