Lawai Valley. Cultivated plants of the National Tropical Botanical Garden. At junction of old railroad grade of W side of valley and lower valley road.
Plant Description:
Small spreading tree of 8 ft.; lvs glossy dk green w/ yellow ish veins, below dull pale green w/ raised veins; calyx dk green; corolla bud salmon, open flowers dk velvety orange, wings recurved. Rec'd from the Trop. Hor. Sta. (PI# 123160).
