Kokee State Park along Hwy 550 at 16.3 miles N of Waimea, just above (NE) of Kokee Lodge and Museum area.
Plant Description:
Tree 12 m tall (reaches 15 m), crown moderately spreading, bark smooth gray, fissured near base. Inflorescences terminal, flowers white. Phyllodes not glaucous. Seeds oriented crosswise in pods. Localized population, regenerating. This form corresponds to A. kauaiensis Hillebr.
Habitat:
Mixed mesophytic forest of Metrosideros and Acacia.
