Na Pali-kona forest reserve, along Mililii Ridge Road near head of trail into Mahanaloa Valley, below steepest hills along road.
Plant Description:
Young tree 6 m tall, phyllodes gray-green, flower heads cream-colored. Ripe pods brown, seeds black. Locally abundant, co-dominant with Metrosideros. Voucher for seed collection.
Habitat:
Diverse mesic forest.
Associated Species:
Acacia koa and Metrosideros polymorpha dominant, also Styphelia, Dodonaea, Coprosma, some invasion by Grevillea robusta, Psidium cattleianum, Rubus rosifolia, Passiflora spp.
