Plant Description:
Low tree 6 m tall, bole 30 in diam., branching at 1.5m, bark smooth pale brown, crown spreading, rounded. Flowers yellowish white. Pods green with yellow pubescence, ovules with transverse to longitudinal orientation in pods.
Habitat:
Mixed mesophytic forest.
Associated Species:
Metrosideros dominant and scattered populations of Acacia koa, with understory of Cibotium tree ferns.
