Plant Description:
Small tree 4 m tall, trunk 10 cm in diam., one of several trees in circle derived from root suckers. Foliage heterophyllous, new growth with cinereous pubescence.
Habitat:
Mixed mesophytic forest.
Associated Species:
Metrosideros dominant and scattered populations of Acacia koa, with understory of Cibotium tree ferns.
