Road from Captain Cook running east to Papaloa, up lower western slopes of Mauna Loa, on Kealakekua Ranch of Sherwood Greenwell.
Plant Description:
Tree 15 m. tall, trunk 80 cm. in diam., bole straight, tall. Flowers pale yellowish white. Pods broad, seeds transverse. Dominant, indigenous.
Habitat:
Mesophytic forest with Acacia koa over a'a lava flows.
Associated Species:
Metrosideros, Myoporum and Sophora dominant.
