Book your Limahuli Garden experience

Visitors are encouraged to use North Shore Shuttle service. Reservations for self-guided tours are NOT required for visitors arriving by shuttle, and we offer a special discount for North Shore Shuttle users. Please show your shuttle pass and check in at the Visitor Center as a walk-in during the opening hours before the last check-in time.

Guided Tour

Explore this timeless place with a small group as the interwoven stories of Hawaiian culture, biodiversity, and stewardship come to life. Reservations are required for guided tours. This tour is for 13 years and older.

Guided Cart Tour

Tour our Garden with a guide on a UTV cart—specifically designed to accommodate guests with physical disabilities or limited mobility, with ADA accessibility in mind. This tour is available by reservation only.

Lāʻau Lapaʻau Traditional Medicine Tour

Deepen your connection to ʻāina through the practice of lāʻau lapaʻau—the traditional Hawaiian use of plants for care and well-being. This private tour is available by reservation only, with a minimum of 4 guests.

Limahuli Garden History

For at least 1,500 years the Limahuli Valley has been a Hawaiian place. Today, Limahuli is one of of the last easily-accessible valleys with intact archaeological complexes, native forest, pristine stream, and the presence of the descendants of the valley’s original inhabitants caring for it.
