Join us on February 2nd, 2019 for our monthly lecture series with 2019 recipient of the David Fairchild Medal for Plant Exploration, Dr. Michael S. Dosmann, Keeper of the Living Collections at the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University.

Bio: Dr. Michael S. Dosmann
Dr. Michael S. Dosmann is the Keeper of the Living Collections at The Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University and oversees a world class collection of temperate woody species comprised of some 15,000 accessioned plants. He has conducted field work and led plant collecting expeditions in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas, Sichuan Province, China, Saitama, Japan, and elsewhere. In addition to his botanical research, Dr. Dosmann is committed to advancing plant exploration through the study and refinement of collection strategies, tactics, and protocols. Dr. Dosmann is also an enthusiastic advocate of ordinary people exploring plants within their own surroundings. 

The event will begin at 5:30 pm with wine and light bites. The lecture will begin promptly at 6:00 pm. 

Admission is always complimentary for members and $10 donations are suggested for guests. This is also a great opportunity to become a Kampong member, if you are not already, and become part of the NTBG family.
