Are you new to embroidery or looking for a way to practice your favorite pastime? We invite you to join us for a relaxed embroidery workshop inspired by the plants and atmosphere of The Kampong.
Beginners will start with a sampler to learn foundational stitches and explore the many creative possibilities of embroidery. Those with previous experience are welcome to work on a nature-inspired project while receiving guidance on design, new stitches, and individual creative exploration.
This workshop is designed to be enjoyed at your own pace, with time to slow down, observe, and make by hand in community with others. All materials will be provided in a kit that is yours to keep, though you are welcome to bring your own hoop, needles, or favorite threads if you would like to work with familiar tools.
The workshop will be facilitated by Isabel Infante, a textile artist whose practice is deeply inspired by nature.
Rates rare $45 for NTBG Members, $55 for non-members
