NTBG’s First Movie Night of the Summer

Featuring: Lilo & Stitch

Saturday, June 9, 2018 – 6:00pm to 10:00pm

National Tropical Botanical Garden is excited to feature Lilo & Stitch at this summer’s first ‘Movie Night at the Gardens’ on Saturday, June 9th 2018. In this Disney animated film a Hawaiian girl adopts an unusual pet who is actually a notorious extra-terrestrial fugitive bent on wreaking havoc across her island.

The film will be shown on the meadow at the South Shore Visitor’s Center at 4425 Lāwai Road in Po‘ipū, across from Spouting Horn. Gates open at 6:00 PM and the movie will start shortly after sunset. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or low beach chairs for seating.

Food & drinks will be available for purchase from outstanding vendors including Frozen Delights offering shakes, shave ice, ice cream, acai bowls, smoothies and more; Ono Pops featuring frozen local fruit popsicles; Granny Feelgoods Kettle Corn; and the Snack Shack with water, soda, chips, cookies and candies. Plus, face painting by Ashly Trask will be available before the movie.

“We love inviting the Kauai community and island visitors to enjoy Movie Nights at the Gardens,” said Tobias Koehler, Director of the South Shore Gardens. “Showing the movie at the Gardens is an exciting way for us to engage with the community, partner with local businesses and share our gardens and mission to save plants with the community in a fun and engaging way.”

The Garden is asking for a suggested donation of $5 for keiki and $10 for adults, which will help fund research, conservation, and public education programs at NTBG.

We would also like to thank our event sponsors Koloa Bass Fishing, Kauai ATV, Koloa Zipline and Hawai’i Life for their commitment to NTBG’s mission and the Kauai community.

National Tropical Botanical Garden (ntbg.org) is a not-for-profit, non-governmental institution with nearly 2,000 acres of gardens and preserves in Hawai‘i and Florida.
