Fantasy Flowers in Acrylic

Painting botanical subjects encourages appreciation of nature’s flowering, as well as our own. We will create intuitively, without knowing where the painting will take us. We will start by making random marks with pencils and charcoal, dripping paint, lifting out, and painting over, then building up layers until the visual elements command attention, offer something new, and the images feel alive. Flowering suggests that we ourselves are flourishing in a glorious culmination of growth. Your instructor for this class will be Susan Convery, a member of the Miami Watercolor Society with extensive experience in creating and teaching. Students will be asked to bring some materials.

Rates are $127 for NTBG Members, $150 for non-members.
