Tuesday, March 13, 2018 – 5:30pm to 6:30pm

The Earth Matters public lecture series continues on Tuesday, March 13 at 5:30 p.m. as NTBG’s GIS (Geographic Information System) Technician Ben Nyberg and TNC Hawai’i Natural Resource Manager Lucas Behnke discuss how drones are increasingly and effectively being used for conservation on Kaua’i and elsewhere to find rare plants, map vegetation, monitor fencelines, and assist in ungulate control.

Earth Matters is a collaboration between the National Tropical Botanical Garden and Kaua’i Community College. Lectures are offered in the KCC Campus Center Cafeteria (behind the Performing Arts Center) located at 3-1910 Kaumuali’i Highway, Lihu’e, Hawai’i 96766. For questions about accessibility or to request special accommodations, please contact Margaret Clark at (808) 332-7324 Ext. 225 at least ten days in advance.
