Building Resilience in the Face of Climate Change

Earth Matters Public Lecture Series

Tuesday, January 8, 2019 – 5:30pm

NTBG and KCC present their first collaborative event of 2019 in the ongoing Earth Matters public lecture series on Tuesday, January 8 from 5:30 p.m. with a panel discussion entitled “Building Resilience in the Face of Climate Change.” Panel speakers will include NTBG President Chipper Wichman, Kauai County Council, Planning Chair Mason Chock, Kauai Emergency Management Administrator Elton Ushio, Science Writer Jan TenBruggencate, and Marine Protected Areas Consultant Anne Walton. The panel will discuss Kauai’s changing conditions and ideas for building resilience at the household and community level in the face of climate change. The talk will be held in the KCC Campus Center Cafeteria behind the Performing Arts Center.
