The Florilegium is a group of botanical illustrators and artists gathered by instructor Wendy Hollander of Draw Botanical. The group gathers annually at NTBG’s Headquarters in Kalaheo, Hawaii to explore, study, observe and document Kauai’s unique native and introduced flora through illustration. Explore their work this winter at our 2022 Florilegium Art Show. This year, the event will take place February 24 – March 3 (Closed Sunday/Monday) from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at our South Shore Visitor Center on Kauai. Prints will be available for purchase and proceeds support our science and conservation programs. The show is open to the public, no reservation required.
Interested in learning more about botanical illustrations? Join us for our annual Botanical Illustration Workshop. Students will create detailed botanical drawings and sketchbook pages of flowering plants, fruits and seedpods, working directly from the wide variety of tropical plants growing at NTBG. This February, workshops will take place at our gardens on Kauai. See our events page for details.
