NTBG’s Kahanu Garden is proud to present the annual Ulu Cookoff on Friday, October 12, 2018. The event will take place at the Hana Ball Park from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and is part of the Festivals of Aloha Week schedule of events.
To enter:
Bring your ulu dish (enough for 10 people to taste), Aloha Week pin and recipe to the Kahanu Garden tent between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Juding will begin at 5:30 p.m. and points will be deducted for repeat dishes during this year’s event. Cookoff categories include, appetizer, entree, dessert and tradional and winners will be announced at 7:00 p.m.
To taste:
When judging has concluded sampler plates will be made available at the Cookoff tent. You may try up to three dishes with a $5 donation to Kahanu Garden. Plates are sample size only, not a full meal.
