The Kampong
Paper incense is a novelty incense developed in the 19th century after a chemist and perfumer collaborated. Come and learn the intricate techniques behind formulating and crafting exquisite paper incense with a selection of aromatic materials, like essential oils. You’ll have the opportunity to practice the art of blending scents to create your signature fragrance while being inspired by the natural beauty and fragrant native plants located in one of Miami’s most stunning gardens.
While different from botanical incense cones and sticks, this class will indulge your senses all the same. Shaping and folding fragrant paper into graceful forms is just one of the many ways you’ll showcase your creativity. Bring an open mind, playful spirit, and eagerness to learn as you experience the joy of creating and taking home a collection of personalized paper incense creations.
Suitable for ages 16 and up. All materials included. Guests will leave with ~20 paper incense shapes as well as a fragrance for home uses.
