Hurricane Irma has passed. We are very thankful that our staff members are all safe and the historic structures at The Kampong suffered little damage from the storm.
Tragically, the garden and its beloved living collection have suffered significant damage. Many of the iconic trees were lost, and our garden staff is working to assess what can be done to save many of the palms, mangoes, and tropical plants. Cleanup and recovery will take months and will require a team of arborists, botanists and horticulturists.
Kampong Director Craig Morell and his team could use your help! The Hurricane Irma Relief Fund has been established to restore and replant the garden. Your help is critical. Please use the form beow to give today.
