Summer Sizzle Craft Fair

Saturday, June 8, 2019 - 9:00am to 3:00pm

National Tropical Botanical Garden (NTBG) invites the public to help kick-off summer at its “Summer Sizzle” Craft Fair on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the NTBG South Shore Visitors Center located at 4425 Lāwa‘i Road across the street from Spouting Horn. This free, family event takes place from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and will feature over 50 local craft vendors, food trucks, keiki activities, and live music throughout the day.

The day long craft fair will showcase some of the island’s favorite vendors selling handcrafted, jewelry, art, quilts, soaps, super-food teas, chocolates, and much more.  For keiki (and the young at heart) there will be a bounce house and a variety of games. Hungry guests will be able to grab a bite to eat at popular food trucks such as Kickshaws (gourmet sandwiches), Kauai Kim Chee (plate lunch), and Ono Pops (frozen popsicles).  There’s something for everyone in the exciting line-up of entertainers that includes John Mahi, Shilo Pa Band, and Jazz-Latin-World band, Gypsy Spice.  Plus, Hula Hālau Tamatea Nui O Kauai will perform, and Mohala Muse will hold a fashion show of its Active ArtWear.

“We think this is a fun way to kick off the summer season and bring the community together,” said Tobias Koehler, Director of South Shore Gardens.  “We invite residents and visitors alike to come out and enjoy this amazing variety of food, crafts and entertainment at the gardens.”

For those wanting to give back donations of non-perishable food items will be accepted for the Kaua’i Branch of the Hawai’i Food Bank.  Guests bringing a donation will receive 50% off a McBryde Garden Day Pass the day of the craft fair.
