Nounou Mountain Forest Reserve, adjacent to Wailua River. Along SW side of Nounou Trail West, hanging over trail
One tree approximately 5m tall, healthy and leafed out. Plat is leaning slightly over trail, has two infructescences that are mostly senesced, no flowers. Leaves are dark green above and densely white pubescent below and on rachis. New growth is densely white pubescent, becoming glabrate on adaxial surface as it matures. Fruit is also pubescent.
Moderate N facing midlsope in mostly secondary forest, with very few remnants of native vegetation in the area.
Acacia koaia, Metrosideros polymorpha var. glaberrima, Hibiscus clayi, Psidium cattleianum, Pandanus tectorius, Grevillea robusta, Schinus terebinthifolius.
