Christmas in the Garden – 2009 Holiday Craft Fair
Popular Southshore Craft Fair Seeks Crafters and Artisans
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Po‘ipū, Kaua‘i (October 14, 2009) – This December, the south shore’s premier holiday craft fair, Christmas in the Garden, will be held on Sunday, December 6 from 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. The event’s host, National Tropical Botanical Garden (NTBG), is currently seeking crafters and artisans who wish to be part of this increasingly popular fair.
In 2008 Christmas in the Garden was attended by well over 400 people. Visitor Center Manager Angela Whitlatch says she expects an even greater turnout this year as the fair becomes a favorite holiday destination with locals, visitors, and vendors from Kaua‘i and across the state.
The 6th annual craft fair will be held in Po‘ipū at the Southshore Visitors Center across from Spouting Horn Park (4425 Lāwa‘i Road) on the colorful, sunny grounds at the center. Admission to the fair will be free for attendees.
In addition to unique, local products, and crafts, the public will be drawn by some of Kaua‘i’s favorite food vendors, fresh flower and plant sales, entertainment, complimentary massages, exciting activities for adults, and keiki, and more.
An event announcement has already been submitted to The Honolulu Advertiser Island Life special Craft Fair Calendar and the fair is being promoted in Kaua‘i media, at southshore resorts, and various locations island-wide. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to be display your goods at this high-visibility event.
Crafters and artisans can sign up to obtain an 8’ x 10’ covered space (booth) with one table and one chair for $100. Vendors may also be eligible for the use of specially designated parking.
To reserve booth space and arrange to have your crafts juried for inclusion in Christmas in the Garden, call (808) 742-2433. Information and craft fair applications can be found at www.news.ntbg.org or by visiting the Southshore Visitors Center.
National Tropical Botanical Garden is a not-for-profit, non-governmental institution with nearly 2,000 acres of gardens and preserves in Hawai‘i and Florida.
