This summer the National Tropical Botanical Garden has once again partnered with the University of Hawai‘i’s (UH) Department of Anthropology to present its highly popular Archaeological Field School on Kaua‘i. This integrated hands-on excavation experience, instructed by NTBG’s Dr. David Burney and UH-Mānoa’s Dr. Terry Hunt, will run

The course is accredited by UH-Mānoa and includes Archaeological Field Techniques (6 credits), with two additional components: Natural History of the Hawaiian Islands (3 credits) and Hawaiian Archaeology (3 credits). Credits are transferable to other institutions.

Space is limited and admission is competitive. Undergraduate and graduate students from all universities are welcome to apply.
