Geographic Origin of Accession: Federated States of Micronesia
Locality: Pohnpei
Distribution: Recently introduced to Kosrae and Palau
Notes: Meitehid originated in Pohnpei and has been recently introduced to Kosrae and Palauu. Local belief is that you only plant this variety if you plan to leave your land! It has an attractive entire leaf with a rounded tip with scalloped edges. The white flesh is solid and dense and has a firm texture.
Season: July-March, few fruit April-May
