Geographic Origin of Accession: Mariana Islands
Locality: Rota, Saipan, Palau, Kiribati, Pohnpei, Tokelau, Pohnpei, Kosrae
Other Names: Ebeiei, Kuru kiniti, Mei chocho, Meikole, Meipa, Te mai, Ulu elise
Notes: Found on limestone cliffs and coastal areas. Common atoll variety and thrives in sandy soils. The deep-yellow flesh is a good source of vitamin A and carotenoids. Can be eaten raw or cooked.
